The Role
You will own the end-to-end SEO roadmap across our eCommerce platform, working closely with content, development, merchandising, and marketing teams. The role will also play a crucial part in leading the SEO strategy for the website migration, ensuring digital and operations excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities across technical SEO, content, and on-page optimisation to improve rankings, traffic, and revenue.
- Monitor performance through analytics and SEO tools, reporting on KPIs and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor activity.
Technical SEO & Site Optimisation
- Lead technical SEO initiatives in collaboration with developers and product teams.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify issues impacting crawlability, indexing, and performance.
- Provide clear technical requirements and prioritisation for development teams.
- Ensure best practice implementation across site architecture, internal linking, structured data, and page performance.
Website Migrations & Major Projects
- Own and lead the SEO strategy for website migrations, platform changes, and large-scale site updates.
- Plan and implement migration frameworks including URL mapping, redirects, QA, and post-launch monitoring.
- Work cross-functionally to minimise SEO risk and ensure strong organic performance before, during, and after launches.
- Partner with content and merchandising teams to develop SEO-driven category, product, and editorial content strategies.
- Conduct keyword research and search intent analysis to inform content planning.
- Optimise key landing pages and support scalable on-page improvements across the site.
- Act as the internal SEO expert, educating stakeholders on best practices and opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing, trading, and development teams to embed SEO into wider digital initiatives.
- Manage external agencies or freelancers where required and ensure alignment with overall strategy.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach, driving continuous improvement across the organic channel.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in an SEO Manager or Senior SEO Specialist role, ideally within eCommerce, retail, or fashion.
- Demonstrated experience leading SEO strategy for website migrations or major platform changes.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and page performance.
- Experience working with common SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, and enterprise SEO tools.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO, keyword research, and content optimisation.
- Ability to analyse data, interpret performance trends, and translate insights into strategic actions.
- Comfortable working autonomously, owning the SEO roadmap and driving initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across marketing, product, and development teams.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills, particularly when managing complex SEO projects such as migrations or large-scale site updates.
