The Role:
The Junior Visual Merchandisers responsibility will be to maintain the visual standards within our stores. You will be responsible for window installations, instore visuals and maintaining the Hawes & Curtis brand ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up window and in-store displays according to company guidelines
- Support in planning and executing seasonal, promotional, and product launches
- Adapting to suit individual store layout and stocks package
- Maintain visual standards daily to ensure displays remain tidy, appealing, and aligned with brand expectations
- Help with floor moves, mannequin styling, signage, and product placement
- Monitor stock levels on displays, replenishing and adjusting where necessary
- Communicate with store and head office teams to ensure brand consistency
- Conduct competitor and trend research to support visual improvements
- Provide feedback to senior merchandisers on customer reactions to displays
- Assist with merchandising reports, photos, and documentation for head office
A suitable candidate must have:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in this role, or a related role
- A Strong eye for detail, colour, and design
- A creative mind combined with commercial awareness
- Basic knowledge of fashion, retail, or interior design principles
- The ability to follow brand guidelines and adapt them to different store layouts
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to travel to other stores (when required) within the UK
- Flexibility to (occasionally) work overnight/early mornings for window installations to suit the business’ needs
