The Role
The Ecommerce Manager will own the day-to-day trading, onsite execution, and performance optimisation of the Hawes & Curtis website across all markets, working closely with the Ecommerce Lead to deliver the ecommerce strategy. They will be responsible for driving online revenue, improving conversion, and delivering best-in-class customer journeys, while supporting brand positioning and long-term growth. This is a commercially focused, hands-on role requiring strong analytical capability, trading instinct, and close cross-functional leadership support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trading Growth & Revenue
- Own daily, weekly, and monthly online trading performance across all markets (UK, US, International)
- Support with seasonal, promotional, and campaign trading plans in line with business objectives
- Maximise revenue through effective product placement, merchandising, and promotional strategy
- Partner with Creative and Performance marketing team members to support key moments (Black Friday, Sale, New Season, Category Launches)
- On-site Merchandising & UX
- Own homepage, PLPs, PDPs, navigation, and campaign landing pages
- Deliver best-in-class product storytelling and category journeys onsite
- Optimise customer pathways from acquisition to conversion
- Ensure priority categories (shirts, tailoring, casualwear, footwear, accessories and womenswear) are consistently supported
- Conversion & Performance Optimisation
- Work with CRO and UX lead to drive roadmap: A/B testing, UX improvements, funnel optimisation
- Improve CVR, AOV, and bounce rate through continuous iteration
- Use analytics tools (GA4, heatmaps, dashboards, available customer and product data) to identify opportunities
- Translate insight into actionable trading improvements
- Stock, Range & Availability Management
- Work closely with Merchandising and Supply Chain to manage stock health
- Identify risks: fragmentation, overstock, availability gaps
- Support full-price sell-through and margin protection
- Ensure availability supports campaign and marketing plans
- International & Multi-Market Management
- Manage localisation across key markets (pricing, promotions, content)
- Support US growth and international expansion
- Ensure duties, taxes, delivery messaging and UX are clear and optimised
- Adapt and execute the global trading plan to reflect local market needs, within agreed commercial guardrails
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a key day-to-day partner to Marketing, Creative, CRM and Performance teams, ensuring trading priorities are clearly briefed and executed
- Support campaign planning and execution
- Champion a test-and-learn, data-led culture
- Platform & technology
- Support the Shopify migration and platform roadmap
- Partner with agencies and tech providers
- Contribute recommendations on tools and automation to improve trading efficiency
- Support automation and AI adoption where relevant
Essentials:
- 5+ years’ experience in Ecommerce / Digital Trading (fashion or lifestyle preferred)
- Proven track record of delivering online revenue growth
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset
- Experience managing onsite merchandising and promotions
- Advanced understanding of CRO and UX principles
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, performance-driven environments
Desirables:
- Experience in international ecommerce (USA, AUS, ROW)
- Shopify expertise
- Experience in premium or heritage brands
- Exposure to CRM and lifecycle marketing
- Understanding of paid media and attribution
