WHAT ARE SOME OF THE COOL PROJECTS DESIGNED AND BUILT:

  • LS-24 light-weight aluminium winches for the R/V Shackleford research and hydrographic survey vessel.
  • 20-Ton capacity hose handling marine cranes complete with dual winches, wireless remote controls, and built-in electric hydraulic power units for Shell Deer Park.
  • Containerised AUV Launch and Recovery System (LARS) to the University of Gothenburg for their Antarctic mission.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design cool heavy-lifting equipment – hard core, break out the text books and calculators engineering.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, and electrical panel layouts with supporting calculations and data ensuring that designs meet specification requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Perform PLC and HMI programming for cranes, winches, and launch and recovery systems.
  • Specify system components for products to ensure conformance with engineering design standards and performance specifications.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Previous electrical design experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Proven electrical aptitude through troubleshooting and problem-solving design issues and concepts.
  • PLC & VFD programming experience interacting with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Siemens systems is a major asset.
  • Electrical panel design and schematics.
  • You thrive on challenging yourself to grow and want to work with a team that will push you, trust you, and hold you accountable.
  • Intellectually curious, passionate about learning and being the best.
  • Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action.
