Whybridge Junior School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and vibrant school. You will join a strong and supportive team of staff within an Academy that is committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment for our pupils and staff.

We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work starting at 8.45am and finishing at 3.45pm (full day) 5 days a week. The role will involve some general in-class support for teaching and learning, as well supporting SEND pupils with interventions and whole class participation. We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience only.

The successful candidate will:

  • have good Maths and English skills
  • have a diverse set of skills which will enable you to be flexible in supporting or leading teaching and learning in the classroom
  • be passionate about teaching and learning, and striving for the best outcomes for children
  • be able to work creatively and strategically in the classroom
  • be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
  • be positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • have a good sense of humour
