Corbets Tey School is a successful Special School and Post 16 with amazing students with a diverse range of learning difficulties aged between 16 and 19 years of age. We have supportive governors and strong relationships with the Local Authority and across our community.
We have a new opportunity for a highly organised, confident and creative individual who can demonstrate strong people skills alongside facilitating communication and collaboration across the provision. Our Post 16 provision is ambitious, inclusive and we work as a team to provide the best foundations and opportunities as we prepare our students to enter the adult world.
We are seeking to appoint a Personal Assistant to support the Provision Lead including family and transition support for students. The successful candidate will have a strong administrative background in either educational support or a PA role. You will have exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills and will need to communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, face to face, over the phone and in written correspondence.
The main responsibilities for the role:
- PA to the Head of Post 16, providing full administrative support where needed
- Liaison with parents, carers, further education providers and adult social care to support transition.
- Liaising with family practitioners to refer safeguarding and wellbeing concerns around Post 16 learners
- Supporting communication with teachers, parents, students and multiagency professionals
- Coordinate with members of the admin team to ensure efficiency and consistency of service to stakeholders at the Post 16 site
- Administrative support for meetings, events and communications to parents and carers
- Support teaching staff where appropriate with Post 16 activities and events
- Carrying out inductions for new agency staff allocated to support at Post 16 classes
