St Mary's Hare Park School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Assistant to join our friendly and supportive lunchtime team from September 2026. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our pupils have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime. You will help create a positive environment where children feel supported, cared for and encouraged to develop positive relationships with their peers.

Duties will include:

  • Supervising children as they move between classrooms, the dining hall and the playground.
  • Supporting children during lunchtime and encouraging good table manners.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, active play and respectful relationships.
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play.
  • Providing basic First Aid where appropriate.
  • Supporting pupils with their medical, physical or personal care needs, where required.
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils throughout the lunchtime period.
