We are looking to appoint a reliable and proactive DT & Art Technician to join our successful and friendly DT Team. In this role you will support both the Art & Design Technology Faculty, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons
  • Maintaining tools and machinery
  • Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Supporting students and staff in lessons with the safe use of equipment, including workshop machinery and specialist tools
  • Stock control and ordering materials
  • Keeping workspaces organised and fully equipped
  • Assisting in setting up displays of student work and supporting creative projects across the department

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and safety-conscious, with a strong willingness to support both staff and students. Previous experience in a workshop, DT/Art setting, or technical role is desirable.

With a collaborative staff team, strong leadership, and a positive learning atmosphere, the school offers an excellent opportunity for a DT & Art Technician looking to contribute to a dynamic and engaging environment. The most important qualities required are a friendly disposition, strong organisational and communication skills, together with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
