We are looking to recruit a new EYFS lead to join our Squirrels team. The successful candidate will have expertise and skills to drive improvement and will be a part of the Extended Leadership Team with responsibility for teaching, assessment, progress and transition. Sound knowledge of child development and the EYFS curriculum is essential.

Main Purpose

The EYFS Lead will contribute to whole-school self‑evaluation and school improvement planning. They will be responsible for teaching and learning in EYFS, ensuring high standards of attainment and behaviour. The successful candidate will be a role model, able to demonstrate best practice within the school. They will lead the practice of others through mentoring and coaching as well as inducting new members of staff. The EYFS Lead will promote strong communication with colleagues and good parental engagement. The EYFS Lead will be expected to fulfil the responsibilities of a class teacher as well as lead a core subject area.

We are a three form entry Primary school located in the London Borough of Havering and within easy reach of London. Our school is a warm, friendly and caring environment where each child is valued and feels part of the school community. Our staff work hard to promote the social, moral, cultural and physical development of all children so that by the end of Year 6, they are confident, motivated and successful learners who are respectful and considerate to the needs of others.
