St Mary’s Hare Park School is a vibrant and nurturing independent primary school seeking a passionate, committed and enthusiastic SENDCo to lead and coordinate our SEND provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced SENDCo or a qualified teacher with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs who is keen to transition into a SEND leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision to raise the achievement of pupils with additional needs.
  • Responsible for overseeing the SEND strategy
  • Coordinate and implement EHCPs, Annual Reviews, Provision Maps and SEND interventions.
  • Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, external agencies and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all pupils’ needs are effectively met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND support across the school and report regularly to the Headteacher and Trustees.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for inclusive teaching.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a NASENCO qualification.
  • Has recent experience in supporting pupils with SEND within the primary age range.
  • Is an excellent communicator, organised, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
