Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton

Havergal CE Primary Academy is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The role centres on leading whole-class learning, delivering targeted support and contributing to planning and assessment under teaching staff. The post also covers pupils with a range of needs, with intervention and small-group work in a primary setting. HLTA status or equivalent experience is needed, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Lead whole-class learning

• Support pupils with a range of needs, removing barriers to learning and ensuring access to the curriculum
• Contribute to intervention programmes, small-group work and assessment activities under the direction of teaching staff

Experience

• HLTA status or equivalent experience

Skills & knowledge

• Strong classroom practice
• Confidence in leading learning
• Secure understanding of child development
• Knowledge of effective learning strategies and inclusive practice
• Strong communication skills
• Good organisational ability
