About the Role
Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and make a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven e‑Commerce & New Goods Manager to join our vibrant trading team. Based at our Short Street site in Southend‑on‑Sea, you’ll play a key role in shaping and growing the online retail arm of our charity – helping us raise vital funds while developing innovative ways to drive online sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the e‑Commerce team, managing day‑to‑day operations across platforms such as eBay, Vinted, and others.
- Sourcing and procuring new goods for both online and in‑store retail channels, working closely with wider retail teams to drive stock generation, e‑commerce promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
- Shape and deliver a forward‑thinking e‑Commerce strategy focused on growth, innovation, and diversification – from identifying new product opportunities to optimising the customer journey and increasing traffic to our platforms.
- Ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations while inspiring performance, creativity and collaboration.
- Flexibility around occasional weekend and bank holiday work during peak trading periods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing online sales platforms (e.g., eBay, Vinted).
- Background in managing teams within a trading or retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work confidently to sales targets.
- Analytical mindset with experience producing and interpreting financial reports.
