Responsibilities
You will work on-shift, leading your team in outstanding practice. You will lead the principles of \”nothing about me without me\”, ensuring the supported person\’s voice (behaviours, expressions, actions, words) is heard, and they are leading their support planning, delivery, and review.
About SHES-RALJ
Overseeing two single person services who both receive 24 hours care and support including sleep ins. This role is for a female practise leader by choice of one of the individuals supported.
Going out in his mobility car and accessing the community is important to RALJ. Cornish pirates rugby and attending local rugby matches is a big part of RALJ life. Both individuals have strong family input who work well with us to help provide the best support possible. Supporting to access the community with support is important to both individuals. Both individuals have an acquired brain injury and epilepsy of differing levels and impacts on Life. Both individuals require support and reassurance around emotional wellbeing. Both individuals like to live life the way they want to and have differing routines, likes and dislikes. He needs you to be a driver with a clean licence because he will want and need you to drive his car.
An understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS) and leading PBS in practice would be an advantage, although not essential because we can develop these skills and experience with the right person who has the attitude and aptitude to learn and deliver at this level.
