About the Role
Waking nights 10pm–8am, hours per week with shifts based over a 2-week rolling pattern. St Clare’s is a hub-and-spoke style supported living service in Penzance containing 8 self-contained flats and a central hub flat. We support up to 8 individuals varying in age and diagnoses of learning disabilities, autism, and other health challenges. Each individual has their own needs, likes and dislikes, 1:1 support hours, and additional support from Core background support. You will be supporting all 8 individuals throughout the day and night.
As part of the team you will need strong adaptable communication skills, be calm under pressure, think on your feet, and work as part of the team to provide high quality support. The ideals are that as support workers we help provide skill-based support leading to improved independent living skills, confidence and the desire to develop and live more independently. Build confidence and skills in accessing and engaging within the community, supporting to engage with education or support towards employment or regular activities.
We are currently looking for waking night staff who are resilient, quality driven, and flexible to join our team to support the wonderful individuals who reside with us.
Typical Working Pattern
- Week 1: Monday 10pm–8am; Tuesday 10pm–8am; Sunday night 10pm–8am
- Week 2: Tuesday 10pm–8am; Wednesday 10pm–8am; Saturday 10pm–8am
