We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and forward-thinking person who aligns with our values of Transparency, Quality and Engagement. We are recruiting a Support Worker to support individuals within our St. Clares service.
About the Role
St Clare’s is a hub-and-spoke supported living service in Penzance with 8 self-contained flats and a central hub flat. We support up to 8 individuals varying in age and diagnoses of learning disabilities, autism, and other health challenges. Each individual has their own needs, likes, and dislikes; they receive 1:1 support hours plus core background support throughout the day and night. As part of the team, you will need strong adaptable communication skills, be calm under pressure, be able to think on your feet, and work well with others to provide high quality support.
Our goal is to provide skill‑based support that leads to improved independent living skills, confidence, and a desire to develop and live more independently. You will also help individuals engage with the community, education, and employment or regular activities.
Working Pattern
We are currently hiring for Waking Night Support Workers and also for day shifts, with hours varying between waking nights or day shifts or a mixture of both.
Typical shift rotation:
- Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday and Sunday nights: 10pm to 8am
- Week 2 – Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday nights: 10pm to 8am
