About the Role:

Join Haven as a Health, Safety & Security (HSS) Coordinator and play a pivotal role in embedding a strong safety culture across all our sites. You’ll work closely with the HSS Director and the wider team to deliver a robust HSS programme, ensuring that our “We are Safe and Secure” and “Spot It, Sort It, Report It” values are consistently upheld. What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the focus on safety culture across all Haven Parks.
  • Lead the HSS programme for our Head Office location in Hemel Hempstead.
  • Support Park teams in delivering HSS initiatives through training and guidance.
  • Assist in the development and rollout of safety training programmes, including e-learning.
  • Coordinate routine meetings with Park Safety Leads to foster cross-site learning.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure HSS risks are properly assessed and controlled.
  • Ensure accurate incident reporting and investigation to reduce accidents and improve safety performance.
  • Oversee the Safety Alert process to ensure required improvements are in place across all locations.
  • Manage the administration of HSS IT systems, ensuring they are used effectively by stakeholders.
  • Provide support during Park audits and follow-up on incident investigations.
  • Monitor and analyse HSS data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

What We’d Like You to Bring:

  • Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Security roles, ideally within the leisure and hospitality sector.
  • Knowledge of HSS standards and regulations, particularly in accommodation, food services, and pool safety.
  • Experience with incident reporting, investigation, and safety management systems.
  • Proven ability to deliver training and support safety improvement programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly to new initiatives.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards).
  • Membership of a recognised safety body (e.g., IOSH) desirable.
