About Haven

Haven is a student‑led social enterprise within Enactus Exeter at the University of Exeter. We create educational storybooks and resources that guide primary school children through important topics such as environmental change and mental health. Our mission is to empower young minds with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the world around them, one story at a time. We collaborate with diverse professionals and local communities to ensure our content is accurate, engaging and impactful. We also offer free, interactive workshops to primary schools and community spaces, both in‑person and online. Our story‑writing sessions involve children and aim to feature their ideas.

Role Summary

We are recruiting volunteers for the 2025‑26 academic year to join our team in a variety of roles. Volunteers will contribute to the creation, research, design and publication of our next educational storybook, which will focus on mental health. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership, creative and project management skills while making a tangible social impact.

Available Roles

  • Storybook Writing Coordinator: Oversee story creation, organise writing sessions and support content development.
  • Psychology Research Coordinator: Ensure psychological and therapeutic accuracy, provide guidance on age‑appropriate content and advise the team on mental health topics.
  • Marketing Coordinator: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, manage social media content and promote Haven’s projects.
  • Finance Coordinator: Track budgets, manage expenses and support financial planning for project activities.
  • Logistics Coordinator: Coordinate workshops, events, and production schedules to keep the project on track.
  • Illustrations Coordinator: Work with illustrators and volunteers to create visuals that complement the story content.
  • Project Assistant: Support multiple teams with administrative tasks, research and general project coordination as needed.

Responsibilities (common across all roles)
