As the Pub Manager, you\’ll lead a vibrant pub team, providing clear direction and motivation. Inspire your team to achieve goals and maintain high standards. Be hands-on with performance management, offer feedback, address challenges, and support development. Manage resources like budgets and tools to ensure smooth operations. Focus on delivering excellent guest experiences, continuously improving interactions, and resolving issues. Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver excellent service and achieve targets.
- Guest Experience: Ensure top-tier guest satisfaction by addressing concerns and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Performance Management: Monitor performance, provide feedback, coaching, and conduct reviews.
- Resource Management: Oversee staff scheduling, budgets, and resources for efficiency.
- Adhere to J D Wetherspoon’s SOPs and company policies.
- Problem Solving: Resolve operational issues promptly for smooth daily running.
- Training and Development: Support staff growth through ongoing training and mentoring.
Requirements
- Proven experience in roles like Pub Manager, General Manager, or similar leadership positions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
