About the role

Are you a finance professional with a passion for capital investment and a talent for turning complex data into compelling insight? If so, we want to hear from you! Haven is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the organisation with Capital Investment Insight. This high‑impact role is at the heart of how Haven makes its capital investment decisions, leading the investment appraisal process, building business cases, applying best practice appraisal methodologies, and delivering timely Post Investment Reviews that shape future investment decisions. The role also drives the transition to modern BI tools, creating self‑service capital reporting that reduces manual workload and empowers the wider finance function.

Your Opportunity

  • Lead the end‑to‑end investment appraisal process, developing robust business cases for capital initiatives in collaboration with operational finance partners.
  • Build and maintain repeatable business case frameworks and templates, applying best practice methodologies including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Own the Post Investment Review process, transforming how Haven learns from capital investment – delivering insights that shape where we invest next, not just what happened.
  • Lead the transition to modern BI tools (Sigma or equivalent), building capital dashboards and self‑service reporting capability.
  • Act as primary finance partner for Facilities Management capital investment, supporting Proposition and Central Operations teams on capital queries.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with operational stakeholders and across the finance function.
  • Work proactively with Capex Accounting to improve upstream data quality and governance.
  • Contribute to periodic reporting, attend business review meetings, and support cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Operationalise strategic frameworks and build documented, transferable processes to support team capability.

What we'd like you to bring

  • Professional Accounting or Finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with a strong analytical and financial background.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify patterns and derive actionable insight from complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex financial analysis into clear narrative for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • Broad knowledge of capital accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting standards.
  • Process improvement and project management capability.
  • Capital investment appraisal experience and business case building (highly desirable and central to the role).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or Tableau (desirable).
  • Knowledge of hospitality, leisure, or multi‑site operations (advantageous).

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays with a holiday buy scheme.
  • Annual bonus.
  • 20% discount on both Haven and Warner Hotels holiday for you, family and friends.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support.
  • Exclusive discounts with corporate partners.
  • Exciting career pathways, including learning and development opportunities such as apprenticeships and degrees.
  • Enhanced family‑friendly policies and pay (subject to eligibility criteria).

Diversity, equity, and inclusion

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of who we are and what we do. We encourage applications from all backgrounds, communities, and industries and we are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments or flexibility that you may require, including whether a role can be part‑time or a job‑share.
