About The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Art Therapist to join our Therapies & Wellbeing team. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, creative therapeutic support to children and young people with complex needs, as well as to siblings and families. You will deliver individual and group art therapy, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to support emotional expression, communication and wellbeing. This role is ideal for an art therapist who values flexibility, creativity and relationship-based practice within a supportive hospice environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering individual and group art therapy sessions to children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions
  • Supporting children with complex physical, neurodevelopmental and communication needs through creative therapeutic approaches
  • Providing therapeutic input to siblings and families where appropriate
  • Contributing to end-of-life care, memory-making and bereavement support
  • Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support holistic care
  • Maintaining clear and confidential clinical records and contributing to service evaluation and learning

About You

You will be a HCPC-registered Art Therapist (or eligible for registration) with experience working with children or young people. You will have a warm, reflective approach and the ability to adapt your practice to meet a wide range of needs. Experience of working in a hospice, palliative care or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your ability to build safe therapeutic relationships and work sensitively with children and families.
