Haven Care Wirral Limited is looking to expand its current team of Health Care Assistants.
Please note that we don\’t have a sponsor\’s licence and so we are unable to employ people outside of the UK.
Haven Care is an owner-managed company that has been operating across the Wirral Penninsula for over 25 years, providing the highest quality and standard of domiciliary care and support work to a wide range of people including those with learning, mental or physical disabilities and older persons.
Based in Wirral we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team. Candidates holding a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle would be preferred due to the geographical area.
Various permanent contracted hours/shifts are available (mornings, evenings, waking nights, weekends, bank), along with set working patterns. Casual Worker applicants are welcome to apply and offer availability to suit.
Duties include:
- Supporting service users with personal care tasks
- Supporting service users with domestic tasks
- Meal preparation
- Supporting with the administration of medication
- Attending appointment and arranging social activities
- Supporting opportunities in the community and actively encouraging independence
- Monitoring of health conditions
- Continence care support
Working for Haven Care, we will provide you with the following:
- Hourly pay rate above National Minimum and National Living wage for all employees
- Payment of 45p per mile for drivers
- Full training and support organised by our dedicated Development Officer, including a comprehensive induction programme
- Opportunity to gain Level 2 & 3 QCF (formally NVQ) qualification in Health & Social Care
- 5.6 weeks annual leave per year (additional leave based on service length)
- The positions are supported by experienced area Care Coordinators who also monitor a 24/7 on call emergency line

Successful candidates would be required to have/apply for an Enhanced DBS certificate and 2 satisfactory references from previous employment.
