Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician (Carpenter) to undertake Carpentry, Locksmith, Glazing, Framing and other associated areas of repairs on mainly domestic properties located throughout East Anglia to a high standard. We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer‑centric organisation, investing in our existing homes – including our zero‑carbon journey – as well as building new homes. A lot of our roles come with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.
Outline of Key Responsibilities
- Ability to diagnose faults and rectify effectively.
- Repairs carried out on first visit wherever possible.
- Identify any repairs that are not landlord responsibility and bring them to the attention of the line manager.
- Where additional works are required, the ability to provide clear information as to work, duration and materials required.
- Undertake basic works of other trades relative to work undertaken or, as directed by line manager.
- Maintain van to an acceptable condition and ensure its cleanliness and tidiness including maintaining stock levels and stock organisation.
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service to Havebury’s tenants and stakeholders at all times.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Competent user of I.T.
- Either NVQ level 3 Carpentry / multiskilled or similar.
- Good practical experience.
In return, we are offering:
- An annual salary of £38,284.86 plus a company van and fuel card.

- Flexible working around a 37 hour week.
- Annual Leave – 28 days per year, (plus bank holidays) increasing to 32 days when you reach your 3rd year with us.
