We are seeking a Locum Hostel Assistant to support our team at Lucy Adams House. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and security of the hostel environment while assisting residents on their journey towards independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, and staff, including monitoring the premises and controlling access.
- Enforce hostel rules and report any incidents or breaches to the Management and Support Team.
- Assist in preparing rooms for new residents and maintaining good housekeeping standards.
- Support the development of residents' social and independent living skills in collaboration with the support team.
- Manage inventory and stock items through appropriate systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work empathetically with residents.
- Understanding of homelessness issues and the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals.
- Computer literate with the capability to learn and use new IT systems effectively.
- Commitment to confidentiality and data protection principles.
