We have an incredible opportunity to join us as a Junior Developer! We're looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Developer to help shape the future of our digital services - developing and supporting MyHavebury, our mobile, and in-house applications/integrations, working closely alongside our Digital Services Architect to deliver innovative digital solutions, and translating approved specifications into high-quality, well-tested code where your success will be measured by the quality, scalability and stability of everything you build.

We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes. A lot of our roles come with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.

Outline of key responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance front-end functionality for MyHavebury, our customer portal, ensuring seamless integration with backend business systems.
  • Support the delivery of digital solutions for both internal and external customers, including integration requirements and data flow.
  • Collaborate on the development of our digital strategy, contributing ideas and technical expertise to help us achieve our digital ambitions.
  • Work closely with the IT Applications and Training Coordinator to hand over new products and services to operational support, and assist in the creation of user training materials.
  • Provide input into business cases for new projects involving the deployment of IT technologies or data requirements.
  • Support change management and system design activity as we continue to grow and evolve our digital services.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Programming experience across a range of languages and frameworks including C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, ASP, Python and Visual Basic.
  • Experience of cross-platform mobile development using .NET MAUI, including building and deploying apps to both Android and iOS stores.
  • Practical experience of API and integration service development, with a good understanding of how systems connect and communicate.
  • The ability to write SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server and develop reports using SSRS, with an understanding of ETL processes.
  • Experience in designing well-performing, normalised databases and writing complex SQL queries to meet specific business requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to use it effectively alongside other reporting and data tools.

In return, we are offering:

  • An annual salary of £39,636.00.
