We’re looking for a detail-focused Data Protection Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our UK GDPR compliance activities. From managing Subject Access Requests and supporting DPIAs to maintaining essential data protection records and responding to queries, you’ll help protect sensitive information, reduce organisational risk, and ensure compliance remains at the heart of our operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on accuracy, organisation, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.

Outline of key responsibilities:

  • Support the end‑to‑end administration of SARs, including logging, tracking statutory deadlines, and maintaining documentation.
  • Review documents and apply redactions in line with UK GDPR exemptions and guidance.
  • Identify priority or high‑risk items and elevate to the DPO where required.
  • Prepare folders and assign tasks to the DPO if any items are missed.
  • Maintain and update all relevant data protection logs and registers, including but not limited to Data breach log, DPIA register, DSAR log and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support the DPO with day‑to‑day data protection administrative tasks.
  • Provide operational cover to DPO, including monitoring the DP inbox and handling queries relating to SARs and data breaches.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Educated to graduate level or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Understanding of UK GDPR and data protection principles.
  • Experience supporting DSARs.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Able to work securely within organisational systems.
