Who we are
DMPG is a highly experienced team providing digital experience enablement services to our clients. We punch well above our weight and boast an impressive client roster including Audible, Boden, Royal Mail, TUI, Whitbread and many more high profile organisations. We always strive to go beyond client expectations, and we are recognised as leaders in our industry. We now need to grow our team, and we are looking for a Technical Enablement Engineer who shares our enthusiasm to support clients to build a single customer view and integrate that with customer activation platforms or other data platforms for analysis.
What we do
Our core enablement services cover six key components within two service strands:
- DATA COLLECTION
- Data layer strategy, design and implementation
- Tag management strategy, deployment and maintenance
- Analytics strategy, implementation and insights support
- DATA ACTIVATION
- Conversion rate optimisation strategy, execution and insights support
- Personalisation strategy, execution and insights support
- Omni-channel digital customer experience journey orchestration
We guide our clients onto a digital maturity path to ensure they get the greatest value from their data set by removing any inefficiencies or uncertainties around accuracy.
The Role
If you have experience with digital experience enablement platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform and work best in a highly meritocratic, supportive & technically complex environment, then we look forward to hearing from you. You’ll be supporting the business and their clients working across data processes and integrations focussed primarily on collecting and integrating customer data sources into AEP for the use across other Adobe applications such as CJA, RTCDP and AJO. This will allow clients to ingest and join their online and offline data sources to create a single customer view, develop these customer profiles with attributes and audience membership and finally integrate their CDP with activation platforms for paid media, CRM, email, onsite/in-app testing and personalisation tools or data warehouse/reporting tools for further analysis.
This is a varied role that covers design and implementation for these data requirements. More generally, you should possess a strong grounding in HTML and JavaScript as well as dataset schema design, working with Python and SQL to perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and ability to work with APIs for platform integrations. You should also enjoy directly engaging with clients as this will be a client facing role mostly dealing with data and development teams but also supporting the Client Enablement Leads/Specialists on calls involving data and integration requirements.
This is an extremely flexible working environment and an ambitious progression path will be mapped around your unique set of competencies and interests. This might be anchored around one subject which you will explore in extraordinary depth, or a much broader subject area.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Client Enablement Leads and Specialists (who oversee all the client’s technical needs) within your skillset and Client Enablement Leads (who oversee the client's business requirements), working to a brief or direction provided by the Enablement Specialist or Leads.
- Regularly working alongside the team to ensure a client’s technical requirements are correctly interpreted, and that all potential challenges and caveats are identified.
- Providing input for client side and server side data collection requirements including implementation plans, for example to track onsite customer behaviour or enrich product data sets.
- Assisting in the data ingestion process for clients looking to build-out their data integration infrastructure. This involves defining schemata for unified datasets, then working with Python and SQL to perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes that query source databases, manipulate datasets (cleaning / joining data etc.), and load them into CDPs such Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Tealium AudienceStream (TAS), or others according to each client’s setup.
- Building and maintaining data pipelines relating to creating attributes for profiles, audience segmentation, destination mapping for audiences and journey orchestration.
- Designing and implementing Adobe CJA solutions end-to-end, including dataset schema alignment, identity stitching, data views, derived fields, calculated metrics and workspace projects to surface actionable insights for clients across cross-channel customer journeys.
- Undertaking development work directly in the tools for which you are an engineering expert. Most commonly this will consist of technical integration and deployment tasks. In this regard, a working knowledge of Tealium iQ (TiQ) or Adobe Tags (Launch) is preferred.
- Building and configuring AI agent workflows using Model Context Protocol to connect analytics and third-party tools, enabling automated, context-aware actions across the data stack.
- Working towards an official developer certification for at least 1 of the core tools DMPG operates.
Your ESSENTIAL skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent task management skills
- Experience with server-side implementation setup, including server-side tag management and/or server-side event forwarding
- Experience working with AEP configurations for enterprise clients
- HTML, JS, Python/ETL
- Familiarity with LLM tooling or AI orchestration frameworks
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Sense of humour
Salary and benefits
We will offer a highly competitive salary as indicated above as well as a very healthy bonus that you can directly influence by being part of a small organisation. Additional benefits include:
- 5% Pension
- Bonus & Commission Schemes
- Employee Rewards & Benefits/Discounts Programme
- Enhanced Maternity/Paternity/Family Leave
- Private Medical Cover
- Training & Development Budgets
- £5k Limit on Cycle to Work Scheme
- Flexibility in Working Hours/Location
Location: Home-based (Remote), with the option of meeting-up in Central London once a month as desired.
Summary
This is a chance to be part of a growing team delivering real value for major clients. We are in most cases considered as an extension of our client’s team and as such enjoy effective and long-standing working relationships. You should be motivated to make a real difference to all client engagements and to deliver best value through excellence.
