THE ROLE.
We are seeking an innovative, visionary Creative Director to lead our Design team as a key part of the overall Growth & Marketing team within the Havas Media Network. The Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the creative vision for new client pitches, marketing events and materials, and helping to develop the agency's brand reputation and presence in the market. This individual will oversee a talented team of graphic designers, motion designers, editors and resourcing, and work closely with the growth team and client teams to deliver compelling creative pitch campaigns that drive new business opportunities and enhance the agency’s market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Develop and articulate a creative vision that aligns with business growth objectives and marketing strategies. Lead the ideation, creative development, and execution of all new business pitches, agency branding exercises, and marketing initiatives. Ensure all creative concepts align with client needs, industry trends, and the agency’s long-term vision. Ideate, manage and produce pitch and marketing videos, taking video scripts and concepts from internal stakeholders and developing into emotive and engaging content.
- Team Management: Oversee and mentor a cross-functional creative team, fostering a collaborative environment to deliver innovative solutions. Lead brainstorming sessions and creative reviews, providing constructive feedback and direction to team members. Manage team workload, timelines, and resources to meet business and project objectives effectively.
- New Business Development: Partner with the New Business team to craft compelling pitches that win clients and showcase the agency's unique strengths. Direct the development of pitch materials, presentations, large scale pitch theatre, experiential design, and marketing collateral that support new client acquisition. Collaborate closely with account and strategy teams to ensure creative solutions are grounded in consumer insights and brand goals.
- Marketing Strategy & Branding: Oversee the creative strategy for all agency marketing campaigns, ensuring they reinforce brand identity and position the agency as an industry leader. Lead the creation of multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage prospects and enhance brand awareness. Work closely with client teams to understand their vision, ensuring the creative output meets or exceeds expectations.
- Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stay informed on emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies to ensure creative work remains innovative and forward-thinking. Continuously seek ways to improve creative processes and deliverables, keeping the agency at the forefront of the media landscape.
Qualifications: Ideally 8+ years of creative leadership experience, preferably in a media or advertising agency. Proven track record of leading successful creative campaigns that have driven new business growth. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in branding, marketing, and multi-platform campaigns.
Skills & Experience: Ability to think both strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills. Experience collaborating with business development, strategy, and account management teams. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with experience leading high-performance creative teams. Proficiency in creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, Powerpoint, editing, motion graphics etc.). Experience with Ai platforms with the ability to create conceptual creative outputs and visualisations.
