We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our collaborative, multi-skilled team. The role is full-time, permanent, and hybrid with 3 days per week in our London office at King's Cross.
The Role Overview
The Account Manager (AM) will have an overview of the whole account, utilising their established communications skills to drive the day-to-day account handling and project management, whilst providing direction, support and coaching to more junior members of the account team. The AM will be expected to expand their media knowledge to identify new opportunities, whilst proactively challenging and contributing to client handling activities and playing an increasing role in strategic input.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of tactics/projects comprising communications programme
- Manage and motivate the junior team to ensure objectives set are achieved to the highest possible standards
- Provide junior team with clear and accurate project briefs and delegate workload accordingly
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to the team on work set
- Highlight any training and development needs of junior team to Line Managers
- Regularly update client on progress and any changes to ongoing account activity
- Assist senior team members to ensure realistic setting and meeting of client deadlines and budgets
- Assist with budgetary control (put trackers in place, begin to take responsibility for monthly forecasting/reconciliation, ensure accurate estimates and invoicing)
- Review budget status at all times working to ensure account profitability and minimal over-servicing
You will bring:
- Previous account handling experience from healthcare advertising/PR/MedComms agency
- Up-to-date knowledge of the ABPI, PAGB codes, MHRA and other relevant international regulatory bodies
- Understanding of the NHS/international health systems and broader health environment
- Leadership skills
