You will represent a new breed of planners who define what true full funnel planning means, bringing the best of brand, performance and commerce understanding together to deliver innovative, integrated client solutions, grounded in business outcomes. You will be responsible for delivering media planning excellence on Global clients and pitches as a key strategic partner and supporting our Global Head of Planning to develop the agency’s distinct and impactful planning proposition. You will be a self-starter, able to work proactively to enthuse and inspire those around you with a passion for industry-leading planning across all channels, right through to the point of purchase. You will be a team player, working in close collaboration with strategy, activation, creative, and analytics teams both across Havas Media Network and with our partners. Most importantly, you will love what you do, bringing energy, enthusiasm and expertise to drive the evolution of our planning work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of best-in-class media planning principles on priority global clients, collaborating with client and specialist teams (e.g. Havas Market, Havas Play and CSA) to deliver fully integrated planning strategies.
  • Identify and create opportunities for organic business growth (prioritising scope expansion in performance, retail media and commerce for Havas Market) with our wider Havas capabilities, through the lens of clients’ full funnel planning needs to drive measurable impact.
  • Be the Global Planning Lead on selected new business pitches, from written submissions through to client presentations.
  • Design Global client planning frameworks and transformation roadmaps, aligned to clients’ long-term business vision, accounting for category and local market nuances and the governance required to operationalize it.
  • Own the briefing and quality control reviews of media plans with local HMN teams for Global pitch responses to brief.
  • Play an active role in HMN’s Global Planning network community to enable faster identification and scaling of local full funnel planning best practice and case studies.
  • Share and advocate best planning practices and examples across client teams.
  • Engage across local markets to understand planning practices, capability gaps and training/upskilling requirements.
  • Ensure quality of planning is above the expected baseline in all markets for global client accounts.
  • Support the EVP Global Head of Planning to set the vision and roadmap for HMN’s planning craft, ensuring alignment with the wider agency business strategy, changing consumer behaviours and emerging market trends to give us and our clients a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the Converged.AI product team and relevant Havas experts to drive innovation in planning methodologies, tools, and processes identifying opportunities for capability development where appropriate.
  • Build senior relationships with key media partners to create deeper partner engagement and provide unique opportunities for our clients.
  • Contribute to agency thought leadership, sharing perspectives on the future of planning both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Proven, significant experience in a senior media planning role, preferably at a global or multi-market level within a media agency.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful full-funnel media strategies that connect brand-building initiatives with performance, commerce, and business outcomes.
  • Experience in leading the media planning response for new business pitches, from written submissions to client presentations.
  • A strong background in senior client relationship management, with the ability to act as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization, collaborating effectively with diverse specialist teams (e.g., Strategy, Data, Analytics, E-commerce, Creative).
  • Deep expertise in the end-to-end media planning process, including strategic framework design, audience insight, channel selection, briefing, and quality control.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify and convert organic growth opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the entire media landscape, including performance marketing, retail media, and e-commerce channels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively to C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, able to inspire and guide teams and peers without direct line management authority.

Personal Attributes

  • A proactive, self-starting individual who thrives on taking initiative and driving projects forward.
  • A natural collaborator and team player, adept at building strong relationships across departments and geographies.
  • Passionate, energetic, and enthusiastic about media, innovation, and delivering best-in‑class work.
