In your first month, you’ve been asked to help plan the agency’s Christmas party. There will be 200 people attending and you have a budget of £20,000 to spend, please let us know where you’re taking us and a plan of what we’ll be getting up to. It’s very important that you tell us how you’ll use the budget, as we need the Finance team to approve it.

You’re assisting on a photoshoot - it’s meant to look like a beach, but the sand has not arrived because someone hasn’t ordered it, and your manager isn’t at the set yet. Various people are looking to you for an answer and a solution, most importantly the clients, the photographer and the influencers. You need to think on your feet, please provide us a bullet point breakdown (in order) of what you’ll do:

• Identify all available materials that can substitute sand.
• Communicate potential solutions to the manager via a quick email.
• Coordinate with the photographer to adjust the shot to reflect a beach theme using available props.
• Contact suppliers for urgent sand delivery and negotiate expedited shipping.
• Arrange backup plans in case sand is late, such as using a frosted look or underwater setting.
• Document all decisions and update the shoot brief for everyone involved.
• Ensure the client is prepared for any changes, including timing and cost implications.

• Project and Process Management: You’re learning the agency process and how work moves from briefing to delivery, supporting projects with accuracy and enthusiasm.
• Stakeholder Management: You’re communicating clearly and promptly with suppliers, internal teams and production partners under guidance.
• Creativity and Craft: You’re supporting director showcases and creative sessions by owning logistics and coordination.
• Financial Management: You’re supporting cost tracking by raising and processing POs and invoices, updating reconciliations and helping to keep records accurate.
