Role Overview
As a Senior QA Tester, you will lead and oversee test activities, reporting, and QA strategy for complex projects. You will manage a team of testers, drive best practices, and ensure the highest standards of quality across web and mobile platforms.
Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of test plans, cases, and automation frameworks
- Manage defect tracking and reporting using Jira and X-Ray
- Conduct exploratory and risk-based testing
- Analyse tracking data and suggest solutions for identified risks
- Produce high-quality test completion reports
- Mentor and train junior testers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Attend estimations, stand-ups, and retrospectives, representing QA requirements
- Advise on best practices and testing processes across the agency
- Forecast workload and plan resource needs
- Present findings and recommendations to internal and external teams
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Champion QA discipline and contribute to learning and development
- Adopt AI-powered quality assurance tools and methodologies to enhance testing accuracy, automate repetitive tasks, and proactively identify potential issues in content and deliverables
- Drive adoption of new automation tools and frameworks
- Recommend and implement automation frameworks for regression and performance testing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years experience delivering test artefacts and owning QA project processes in an agency environment
- Advanced knowledge of Jira, X-Ray, and test management tools
- Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, UI design, cross-browser/platform testing, CMS (e.g., Wordpress)
- Experience with database design and debugging tools (e.g., XCode)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience leading and mentoring other testers
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is highly desirable
