Our Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the lead day‑to‑day contact for your clients and internal teams, supporting the Account Director in driving the strategic direction, success, and growth of your accounts. You will personally deliver efficient, effective, and profitable client services across clinical trial, patient experience, and healthcare engagement programmes, while inspiring and supporting junior team members to deliver to the same high standards. This role requires confident ownership of complex projects, strong stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to quality, compliance, and commercial performance.

What you can expect to be doing

  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with key clients, positioning Havas Lynx as strategic partners.
  • Take full ownership of projects from briefing through to delivery, ensuring work is on time, on budget, and on brief.
  • Interpret and challenge client requests where necessary, converting them into clear, actionable internal briefs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients’ clinical development programmes, trial protocols, and patient experience objectives.
  • Work closely with Strategy, Creative, Medical, Production, and Operations teams to shape and deliver effective, compliant solutions.
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring deliverables are accurate, medically compliant, ethically sound, and appropriate for clinical trial and patient audiences.
  • Support the Account Director with client satisfaction, stakeholder engagement, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account planning.
  • Identify and progress organic growth opportunities with new and existing clients within clinical trials and patient experience programmes.
  • Support financial management across your projects, including quotations, scopes of work, forecasting, and invoicing.
  • Monitor job profitability and flag risks or opportunities as they arise.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior account team members, supporting their performance, confidence, and career progression.
  • Contribute to pitches and new business activity, playing a senior role where required.

This role could be a great fit for you if:

  • You have proven experience in a similar senior account role (typically 4+ years) within healthcare communications.
  • You have experience working on clinical trials, patient experience, or healthcare engagement programmes (agency or in‑house).
  • You understand the clinical development lifecycle and the role communications play in supporting sites, investigators, patients, and carers.
  • You bring a strategic account management mindset, confident in balancing client leadership, delivery excellence, and commercial oversight.
  • You have experience developing and working with creative and/or educational briefs grounded in insight, science, and patient needs.
  • You are comfortable managing complex, multi‑stakeholder healthcare projects, often involving global teams and cross‑functional partners.
  • You have strong client‑facing experience and act as a trusted, credible partner.
  • You are proactive, organised, and confident leading projects end‑to‑end while mentoring junior team members.
  • Ideally, you have experience or curiosity around Generative AI tools, data, or innovation in healthcare, supported by relevant learning or certifications (e.g. Coursera, Section, LinkedIn Learning).
