The Medical Team provides medical oversight and fosters a ‘patient-first’ mentality within Havas Life London. Working at all stages of project development with a heavy involvement from project conception stage, with touch points to ensure that the medical strategy is reviewed and aligned. You'll be seen as a strategic partner while being accountable for well-executed deliverables that ensure scientific accuracy, clinical relevance to audiences, and regulatory compliance. You'll provide strategic, commercial, and clinical guidance to support both the agency and the clients that we work with.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide input and strategic solutions to briefs and client asks by working in conjunction with the Strategy Team to formulate the optimal client solution and consider the longer-term commercial and/or medical ramifications.
- Facilitate internal and external meetings (client and/or HCP) and briefings.
- Attend and support at local and/or international congresses to gather scientific and medical intelligence, as required.
- Provide meaningful and strategic clinical and healthcare environment insights.
- Offer perceptive solutions to the medical and commercial issues faced by our clients.
- Champion the importance of considering the needs of patients, HCPs, and other relevant decision makers at all stages of project delivery, and work pragmatically with clients/colleagues to find solutions to these needs.
- Work with the wider team to engender a culture of ‘patient-first’ thinking.
- Support the content team with data uptake and accuracy of communications.
- Provide high-quality review and guidance of assets to ensure regulatory compliance, scientific accuracy, strategic alignment and relevance to audiences across a variety of formats and deliverables.
- Maintain excellent relationships with our clients and their medical teams.
- Strong ability to foster relationships with external experts to ensure Havas Life London has a practical network of active healthcare professionals.
- Manage/mentor junior members of the Medical Team and support the content Team to ensure their continued professional development and consistent quality in work outputs.
- Provide insight and advice on the longer-term business needs of Havas Life London and support new and organic business growth.
- Identify and act on opportunities to maximise potential in existing client accounts.
- Assist or lead with the development of proposals and pitches, as required.
- Lead in the development and delivery of thought leadership to support the business growth of Havas Life London.
- Act as a representative of Havas Life London on a network level by supporting in a medical context for training/pitches/meetings.
You will bring a Medical, Nursing, or Pharmacy degree with clinical practice experience and/or agency experience. Experience across several products and therapy areas within medical communications, with the ability to research medical literature effectively. Ability to produce high-quality written material that is scientifically accurate, with good attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential to contribute positively to a wide range of projects.
