The purpose of this role is to be a trusted strategic lead for the EMEA business of a leading global technology brand. The role will focus on messaging, research, qualitative interviews, and content strategy, enabling our client to deliver a consistent output of compelling voice of customer (VOC) assets.
You will need to have a strong grasp of B2B business strategy, including how brands organise themselves, what makes a successful brand or product campaign, the concepts of buying committees, and how to move specific audiences along a customer journey. You will carry out research (quantitative and qualitative) to build hypotheses and understand audiences. You will also be well-versed in emotive B2B storytelling to showcase our clients’ solutions and products, providing clear guidance for the design, copy, and video production team.
This role is London-based but some European travel may be required.
As a Strategist, you will be trusted to:
- Understand the current technology landscape and discuss technical products with senior leaders within our client base as well as with their customers.
- Be responsible for end-to-end strategic content scoping, ensuring assets and subjects are adequately researched and prepped, leading interviews, and briefing writers, designers, and video production teams.
- Ensure assets conclude on brief and meet the needs of the client.
- Confidently liaise with and interview senior leaders, adapting your style as necessary.
- Carry out independent research across a wide range of tools to test and build hypotheses.
- Build strong story arcs.
- Consult on how gaps in the customer journey can be addressed.
- Write in a clear and error-free manner, following a clear logic trail from findings to recommendations.
What you need to have, know, and do:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing.
- Experience in B2B marketing strategy for large, complex tech or software organisations.
- Experience collaborating and briefing other teams such as video production.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research acumen; comfortable navigating, monitoring, and divining insight from research and senior conversations.
- Comfortable and competent use of Excel & PowerPoint.
- Demonstrable experience in audience and account research, brand/campaign/product/service positioning, messaging, customer journey mapping, content strategy, and content planning.
- Additional European languages are a plus.
