We are looking for a Platformer who is:

  • Proactive, self-motivated and keen to do great work, taking ownership of tasks and delivering them to a high standard
  • Approachable and supportive, happy to help the wider Gate One team and get involved wherever needed
  • Confident and professional in their communication, comfortable speaking with a range of people (including senior colleagues) and able to express ideas clearly
  • Detail and process focused, able to keep track of next steps, respond promptly to requests, and follow tasks through to completion
  • Open to feedback and eager to learn, using guidance to develop their skills and gradually take on more responsibility as the role grows
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks, keep others informed of progress, and ensure actions are completed on time
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (with support where needed)
  • A clear and confident communicator, with strong verbal and written skills appropriate for a professional workplace
  • Trustworthy and discreet, able to handle sensitive information carefully and maintain confidentiality at all times

On the 6 month programme, you’ll be involved in:

  • People & Talent Support
    • Supporting the global onboarding of new joiners, including sending welcome gifts, forwarding team events and ensuring all calendar invites for the induction are scheduled and booking the lunch
    • Liaising with building services to set new joiners up with lockers
    • Booking meeting rooms for onboarding sessions and other People & Talent meetings
    • Taking ownership of maintaining internal employee Murals, ensuring job titles and locations are accurate
    • Enrolling new joiners onto key benefits and scheduling probation meetings with the relevant People & Talent lead
    • Supporting the onboarding of Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members, including preparing induction packs with their initial four week programme of meetings and introductions
    • Supporting the offboarding of leavers globally, completing tasks such as scheduling exit interviews, sending leaving cards, and liaising with building services about lockers after the employee has left Gate One
    • Organising gifts for the team (baby gift, anniversaries etc)
    • Updating email distribution lists and managing the People & Talent mailbox
    • Supporting the recruitment team with the scheduling of interviews
  • Leadership & Development support
    • Managing training administration, including handling sign-ups via the Gate One Learning & Development mailbox, sending calendar invites, booking training rooms, and arranging catering for internal and external sessions
    • Tracking training attendance, managing drop-outs, and promoting sessions where spaces are still available
    • Supporting the creation and sharing of training communications (e.g. Workvivo posts) and keeping the training calendar up to date with new courses or changes
    • Supporting on-the-day training delivery, including being onsite to welcome external facilitators and helping ensure sessions run smoothly and create a positive experience for attendees
