About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and inspiring Lecturer of Psychology to join our team at HSDC.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to A Level Psychology students, helping them achieve their full potential and progress successfully.

The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge of Psychology, experience teaching A Level Psychology and a proven track record of strong student achievement. Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
• To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
• To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
• To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
• To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.

Requirements

You will need:

• Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
• High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
• At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
• Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
