Lecturer of ESOL (Sabbatical Cover)

You will be responsible for:

• Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
• To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
• To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
• To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
• To attend marketing and promotional events

This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self‑motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students. The role is 0.32 at Havant Campus, Tuesday and Thursday Evenings (17:30-21:30) until January 3rd (Sabbatical Cover).

• Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
• Level 4 or 5 ESOL Subject Specialist Qualification AND/OR
• TEFL/TESOL certification AND/OR CELTA/DELTA (Essential)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching ESOL (desirable)

You must have effective teamwork and communication skills to work with other members of the teaching team to ensure the smooth running of the ESOL program.
