You will lead the centre Access Arrangements team and deliver industry-standard exam access arrangements procedures and ensure compliance with exam boards and JCQ guidelines. To lead the Access Arrangements team in organising the cohort of assessments and signing off all access arrangements assessments as centre lead.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively support the college's Vision, Mission and Values and communicate them effectively.
  • Deliver formal assessments to an excellent standard.
  • Enable positive and clear communication with the exams office to ensure the effective management of access arrangements and their implementation.
  • Liaise with colleagues, parents, carers, schools, Local Authorities and other relevant external professional bodies in relation to prospective and current learners during transition from school to college, on-course and for progression purposes (this may include open evenings and other events).
  • Undertake and deliver training as required in line with JCQ guidelines and PATOSS training.
  • Lead the design and evaluation of assessment programmes, ensuring compliance with JCQ guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Specialist teaching and diagnostic assessment qualification in SpLD (e.g. PATOSS or AMBDA recognised).
  • Certificate in Education / PGCE or equivalent.
  • Current qualifications (PATOSS / AMBDA recognised), certification and experience to deliver access arrangements assessments to a broad range of learners with complex learning needs.
  • Proven track record and experience of effective quality improvement initiatives and outcomes.
