We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Exams Assistant to join our busy Exams team at HSDC. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service. Working closely with the Examinations Officer and wider College teams, you will help ensure the smooth planning, organisation and delivery of examinations across the College. You will support students, staff and invigilators, maintain accurate examination records and help ensure all awarding body requirements and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Processing examination entries and maintaining accurate records using computerised systems.
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of examinations, including preparing exam materials and examination rooms.
  • Assisting with online examinations and the processing of examination results.
  • Liaising with students, parents, curriculum staff and support teams regarding examination arrangements.
  • Supporting invigilators before, during and after examination sessions.
  • Preparing correspondence, maintaining spreadsheets and managing examination communications.
  • Recording and distributing examination results and certificates.
  • Ensuring all examination procedures comply with awarding body regulations and College requirements.

Requirements

  • At least two years' administrative experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience working within an educational environment.
  • Understanding of further education qualifications and assessment processes.
  • Previous experience working within examinations administration.
