Are you passionate about procurement and ready to make a real impact in a busy public-sector environment? We’re looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to support the delivery of compliant, value-for-money procurement activity across the organisation. You’ll work with internal stakeholders to plan and run effective procurement exercises, manage contracts, and help drive continuous improvement—ensuring services and supplies are secured efficiently, transparently, and in line with relevant legislation and policy.

You should have:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and contract management, preferably within a public-sector setting
  • Working understanding of relevant procurement legislation, policy and governance (e.g., compliance, transparency, audit requirements)
  • CIPS qualification (e.g., Level 4+)
  • Ability to plan and run procurement exercises end-to-end (requirements gathering, tender documentation, evaluation, award and mobilisation)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence advising and influencing at different levels
  • Strong commercial awareness, including value-for-money, negotiation and supplier relationship management
  • Analytical approach with good attention to detail (risk, pricing, evaluation scoring, and contract performance data)
  • Well organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, with confidence producing clear reports and documentation
