About The Role

Are you the kind of person who thrives at the heart of the action — organised, proactive, and always one step ahead? We’re looking for a dynamic administrator who keeps operations running seamlessly, acts as a trusted first point of contact, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

PETA are proud to be recruiting a Business Administrator Apprentice on behalf of The Borrow Foundation who will support the effective day-to-day administration of a well-established international charity and its trading subsidiary while undertaking the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

About the role: The Business Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Providing administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day business operations
  • Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries
  • Managing records, filing systems, and data entry accurately
  • Supporting procurement activities, including ordering and tracking supplies
  • Assisting with facilities management and health & safety administration
  • Supporting the administration of investment properties, including maintaining records and liaising with contractors and tenants
  • Communicating professionally with advisers, consultants, suppliers, and service providers
  • Using business IT systems and standard office software effectively

What are the career prospects at The Borrow Foundation? There is the potential for a full-time permanent position to be offered to the suitable and successful candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Essential Skills: It is essential that the Business Administrator Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:

  • GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C/4 or equivalent
  • Basic IT skills or confidence using computers
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • No previous administrative experience required
