The Senior Estates Surveyor mentors a team and helps to deliver a trusted, efficient, effective and value for money property service across a diverse property portfolio; makes a positive contribution to the Councils' long-term financial sustainability; and supports the social, environmental, and economic development of our communities.

You Should Have Essential

  • Professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and compliance with RICS codes of conduct and mandatory standards.
  • Aware of RICS best practice and application where possible.
  • Detailed knowledge of landlord and tenant law.
  • Experienced in the negotiation and completion of a variety of agreements including wayleaves, easements, licences and leases.
  • Experience in commercial property management.
  • Sound negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Good understanding of valuation methods and practice together with the requirements of Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 governing the disposal of land.
  • Ability to provide high levels of customer service.
