Our Empower You programme supports 16-24 year olds across Havant Borough to gain confidence and increase participation whilst preparing for employment. Working as part of our Youth Hub team you will be responsible for:
- Session Support – assisting in the delivery of group workshops and off-site trips, enabling young people to build confidence, motivation and employability skills in a safe environment.
- Administrative Co-ordination – maintain accurate records, track course attendance, manage session resources and assist with reporting outcomes and learner progress.
- Programme Delivery Support – work with the course leader to prepare workshops, set up materials, coordinate activities and ensure smooth running of all sessions.
- Safeguarding and Wellbeing – promote a safe, supportive environment always following safeguarding procedures.
- Communication and Engagement – build positive relationships with learners, partners and colleagues to support participation and progress.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Youth Support Assistant who is committed to helping young people build confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps toward employment. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where every learner feels supported to participate and succeed. We need someone who can work collaboratively with the Course Lead, contribute to the smooth running of sessions and provide practical support to ensure all young people can access opportunities. Alongside direct delivery, you will take responsibility for essential administrative tasks including maintaining accurate records, supporting outcome reporting and using our finance system to process routine tasks. Strong organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.
