About the Role
Joining a busy and vibrant training salon your role will focus on ensuring that student and staff needs are met in line with inclusive learning. You will assist with the daily requirement to prepare salons for practical lessons ensuring required product and equipment are available.
Responsibilities:
- Stock checking of all products and electrical equipment / assist with stock order and replenishing all stock in salons
- Assist with updating all risk assessments & COSHH
- Cleaning duties to include, the cleaning of all salons after every session and a deep clean of each salon once a week using check sheets.
- Cleaning & checking of all electrical equipment in both hairdressing & beauty therapy
- Assisting with assessing of students working on reception.
- Welcoming clients, booking in and cancellation of clients, in person and over the telephone
- Handling money, taking money, organising change for the till, cashing up and securing money at the end of the day/session.
- To assist with the updating of social media with events for our curriculum area.
Requirements
You will need:
- Relevant industrial/subject experience
- Experience of working in training salon setting is desirable.
- Knowledge Microsoft office applications, including word & excel.
- Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
