Role Summary

The Senior Web and Digital Experience Manager oversees and leads the digital presence across Hauser & Wirth’s website, Shopify-powered e-commerce, and related digital platforms. This role serves as the primary internal partner for the agile development agency, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives. The Senior Manager promotes digital governance, SEO, analytics oversight, and collaboration across teams, supporting marketing and sales goals while mentoring the Digital Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the external development agency, prioritising backlog, overseeing sprint deliveries, validating releases, and ensuring quality and performance.
  • Lead and mentor the Digital Analyst, overseeing analytics, dashboard reporting, SEO tagging, and campaign support.
  • Own the digital product roadmap in partnership with the Senior Director of Global Marketing and key stakeholders (Head of Digital Content, Local Marketing Directors), ensuring initiatives align with gallery objectives and marketing calendars.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Digital Content and various other teams to ensure the prioritisation of workload according to market needs and the seamless integration of digital platforms and data-driven insights.
  • Oversee SEO strategy and implementation across the website and the Shopify platform; coordinate audits and technical improvements with the agency.
  • Maintain digital governance frameworks, ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and implement effective incident management protocols.
  • Drive analytics interpretation and reporting for leadership; coordinate performance measurement and continuous improvement activities.
  • Facilitate digital governance meetings and strategic steering sessions, incorporating innovation pilots and reviews of emerging technologies.
  • Manage relationships with UX/UI designers and other third parties as required.
  • Design and deliver training programs and documentation to upskill internal teams on digital tools, CMS workflows, analytics platforms, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in website management, within cultural, luxury, or creative sectors.
  • Preferred agency background desired.
  • Proven experience managing external digital agencies and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Preferred knowledge of headless CMS platforms and Shopify ecommerce.
  • Expertise in SEO best practices, analytics tools (GA4, dashboards), and privacy compliance.
  • Experience in collaborating with marketing teams, CRM tools, social platforms and media.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills in managing junior staff and training colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
