Associate Landscape Architect Job Description Associate Landscape Architects jobs typically require a minimum of eight years’ experience in the field, having already worked as a Senior Landscape Architect. With a diverse portfolio of commercially successful projects, Associate Landscape Architects will have extensive experience in delivering design solutions across a variety of projects and will be responsible for leading a team of designers from a studio management, design, and technical perspective. Responsibilities Full responsibility for the management of a team of designers. Lead projects at every stage, from concept through to construction. Play a central role in client management and satisfaction, maintaining and growing existing relationships while identifying future opportunities. Prepare landscape proposals and bids for new work. Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety requirements. Participate in helping junior team members fulfill their potential. Skills and Competencies With extensive prior experience as a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be leading teams and working closely with contractors and clients. Good leadership skills, first-class communication skills, and the ability to interact well with people at all levels are essential. You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously and will be required to manage the financial aspects of projects as well as a profit and loss centre. Associate Landscape Architects are expected to consistently deliver a high-quality service and product that meets clients’ needs and expectations.
