What You’ll Do
As a Commis Chef, you will:
- Prepare Ingredients to assist the kitchen team, working closely with the Chef de Partie
- Support Food Preparation & Cooking, ensuring dishes meet company standards
- Maintain The Highest Standards of Hygiene, following food safety protocols at all times
- Manage Deliveries & Stock Rotation, ensuring food items are stored correctly and used efficiently
- Monitor Food Safety Compliance, completing daily/weekly food safety diaries and reporting any concerns
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn individual who takes pride in delivering great food. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a food and beverage role
- Basic food hygiene certification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- Allergen awareness training (training provided for the right candidate)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A passion for cooking and a keen interest in developing your culinary abilities
- Flexible working pattern able to work 24 hours per week with the ability to increase during peak periods
