Our busy Engineering client in the Dungannon area require a Technical Author to join their team.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Technical Author to create clear, engaging, and user-friendly documentation for complex products and services. This role is ideal for someone who can translate technical information into accessible content for a range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop user guides, manuals, training materials, and online help content
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and sales teams to gather information
  • Produce technical specifications and supporting documentation
  • Create maintenance instructions and troubleshooting guides
  • Coordinate with external providers such as translators and printers
  • Review and improve existing documentation and processes
  • Support sales teams with technical information and customer interactions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and product quality initiatives
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in technical writing, documentation, or user guide creation
  • Familiarity with CAD and technical/engineering environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tools such as Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator
Desirable
  • Degree in an engineering-related discipline
