Our Manufacturing client in the Co Antrim area require a Senior HSE Advisor to join their team.
Location: Coleraine Area
Hours of work - 39 hours
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Senior HSE Advisor to contribute to a global manufacturing company. As a key member of our team, you will partner with the management team to foster a safety-first culture and drive our Zero Harm goal. Your proactive approach will help ensure the business is compliant with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, while continuously improving our safety performance.
Main Duties & responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
- Maintain and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) for OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001.
- Engage with all levels within the business to promote safety and risk management.
- Represent the site in internal and external audits, meetings, surveys, and reports.
- Conduct HSE audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver HSE training programs and promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Liaise with local authorities on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Collaborate with industrial hygienists and Occupational Health Practitioners to address workplace safety concerns.
- Perform risk assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage civil litigation cases related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Drive implementation of Company Road Map plans for Safety, Risk Management, and Environmental initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of new HSE initiatives aimed at improving performance and safeguarding team members.
- Investigate incidents, compile findings, and analyse trends to prevent future occurrences.
- Manage and oversee the HSE action plan to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Track and report on PPE usage rates, including data collection and analysis.
- Manage the HSE budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Any other tasks and duties deemed reasonable.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong background in behavioural safety and relevant training.
- Experience with IPPC permits and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in using integrated management systems.
- Train the Trainer Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid certification.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel and other standard software.
