Our busy Engineering client in the Dungannon area are currently seeking a Production Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This role will involve taking ownership of products as they transition into production while supporting continuous improvement and product development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Transition developed products into production
- Develop and implement product design improvements
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Provide engineering support to production teams
- Work closely with sales to provide technical specifications and drawings
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency
- Support sourcing of materials and components for new designs
- Provide technical support to customers and the aftersales team
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering with 3+ years design experience or 5+ years relevant design experience
- Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar desirable)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience within materials handling, hydraulics, electrical control systems, or diesel engine installations would be advantageous.
