Our busy Engineering client in the Dungannon area are currently seeking a Production Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This role will involve taking ownership of products as they transition into production while supporting continuous improvement and product development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition developed products into production
  • Develop and implement product design improvements
  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
  • Provide engineering support to production teams
  • Work closely with sales to provide technical specifications and drawings
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency
  • Support sourcing of materials and components for new designs
  • Provide technical support to customers and the aftersales team

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering with 3+ years design experience or 5+ years relevant design experience
  • Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience within materials handling, hydraulics, electrical control systems, or diesel engine installations would be advantageous.
